Meet Yamuna
Yamuna Meleth, Mezzo-Soprano, was born in Preston, England, and raised in Birmingham, Alabama.
She is revered for her ability to sightread, and to sing any style of music. She has had extensive education in opera, musical theater, pop, jazz, and carnatic music.
She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Montevallo and her Master's from the University of Northern Colorado--both in Vocal Performance.
This year, she played Ayah in Warren Carlyle’s acclaimed Broadway-hopeful production of THE SECRET GARDEN. She was the Female Swing in The Office! A Musical Parody National Tour after making her Off-Broadway debut with the NYC company. She is proud to also have been the first POC Pam that the production had ever seen. She is involved in the development of MAYA, a musical about Gandhi and The Salt March written by Cheeyang Ng and Eric Sorrels. MAYA will be going to The West End in 2025.
Yamuna also owns a small business in which she performs mantras, does intuitive tarot readings and songs for wellness spaces. For more information about that, click here.
She is also a certified personal trainer, vocal pedagogy enthusiast, yoga instructor, and lover of all things culinary!
She is represented by the Avalon Artists Group and resides in Los Angeles, CA.
